Transforming Laziness and Apathy

Laziness and Apathy are contradictory to normal human behaviour. It has become normal human behaviour due to its prevalence in our society.  Their is nothing normal about it. People by nature are inspired, loving, and caring people, they are not meant to be vicious, cruel, apathetic, or lazy. So why is this so? What is affecting our fellow man to become like this to the point where it is "normal" ?

Laziness defies logic doesn't it? Every time I go to Tim Horton's for anything, the drive thru is so long that it crams traffic in and out of the plaza. Even though the walk in section is empty and people can just get out of their car go in order, and leave in 5 minutes, people would rather go through a drive thru, even in beautiful weather. People are even getting irrate because the drive through is too slow. It defies logic, why not just get out of the car and go in and get it ?

Apathy: When the state of our world has become so entangled with war, and enviromental destruction, many of us continue on and  ignore it the best we can.

Contrary to popular opinion laziness, and apathy are forms of emotional suffering. We can't be happy, fullfilled and inspired while at the sametime be bored, lazy and apathetic. So what causes these states that cause people suffering ?

It comes from our diet. Why? Because food affects mood, it affects the chemistry of our brain, the way we process the world around us, interpret events as meaningful or irrelevant. Brain chemistry can be altered to such a degree as to create different moods and states. We can be programmed by our food to become lazy or to become inspired. Processed unvital foods and drinks, create a drug effect on the brain, they have compounds and chemicals in them that alter our limbic system (emotional center in the brain) and make people uncaring and apathetic, and can turn people into sluggish zombies. But many people don't connect the dots. These foods dumb us down, drain our hope, our inspiration, our natural desires, and even libido. We know junk food isn't good for us, but nobody is coming out and connecting the dots to overwhelming amounts of laziness, apathy, cruelty and violence in our society.

The connection becomes obvious when we see the contrast, when we allow ourselves to consume foods that are highly vitalized, nutrient dense, luscious, heart warming, delectable, and powerfuly positive. Our whole outlook on life becomes transformed.  These foods enhance the limbic system and spiral our life experience upward.

So what foods negatively alter our limbic system?

1.) Aspartame- a poison that affects brain chemistry
2.) Coffee- drains minerals and vitamins from our body
3.) Tap Water- contains deadly flouride, that alters brain chemistry
4.) Junk food
5.) Fast Food
6.) Refined Sugar- drains minerals from our body
7.) Processed foods, canned foods
8.) Alcohol, drugs- drains minerals from our body
9.) Meat from poorly raised and abused cattle
10.) Genetically modified foods - the genetic coding of vegetables gets altered so that they absorb less nutrients from the soil
11.) Dairy from poorly treated cattle injected with growth hormone and fed reminants from other dead cattle, all that gets into the milk

Remember this phrase "minerals are required for higher consciousness". If you noticed, all the above contain next to nothing in terms of minerals, or vitamins, or it depletes it from your body. How can we experience euphoria if we can't even think because we are so malnourished? It's a double edged sword, processed foods create a drug effect, and mineral depletion doesn't allow for optimal brain capacity.  So both are happening to many people at this time.

Is it possible for diet to completely alter our state? What are the foods that create bliss, happiness, and euphoria?

Thats my next post...stay tuned.
